Features
■High sensitivity
The 1mm thick cadmium telluride (CdTe) semiconductor detector images X-rays much more efficiently than traditional X-ray sensors. It has sufficient absorption efficiency for X-ray photons exceeding 100 keV, so by combining it with an X-ray source with a high acceleration voltage, it is possible to image thick metal products, etc., which is difficult to do with conventional X-ray inspection. .
■High definition
Conventional scintillator-type X-ray detectors convert X-rays into light before capturing images with a camera, which poses the problem of blurring the image due to light diffusion during conversion. On the other hand, direct conversion type CdTe detectors directly convert X-ray photons into charges within the pixel, making it possible to capture higher-definition X-ray images.
■Image capture at video rate is possible
Capable of capturing images at speeds of over 500 frames per second, it can also be used for high-speed inline inspection during the shipping inspection process.
