■Features

ZX-5 / ZX-5DL is an ultrasonic sound velocity meter with excellent basic performance and a variety of functions. In addition to an amazing sound velocity measurement range of 305 to 18,542 m/s, it is equipped with an alarm mode, V-path error correction, and USB power supply function. Furthermore, the sensitivity can be adjusted to 5 levels, making it possible to measure the sound speed of a wide range of materials, from cast iron, which is noisy and relatively difficult to measure, to highly attenuated materials. In addition to these functions, the ZX-5DL has a built-in 10,000 data logger. ZX-5/ZX-5DL can also be used as a high-performance ultrasonic thickness gauge. It is equipped with a scan mode that performs high-speed measurements 100 times per second, a differential thickness measurement mode, and 1-point and 2-point calibration functions.

■Overwhelming measurement range of 305 to 18,542 m/sec

An overwhelming measurement range that proves DAKOTA's technology. Compatible with ceramics where the speed of sound is high.

■5-level sensitivity adjustment function

By increasing the sensitivity when measuring thick or highly attenuated materials, and decreasing the sensitivity when measuring noisy materials, the correct bottom echo can be detected.

■Backlight adjustable to 3 levels

Equipped with a backlight that allows measurements even in the dark, and can be adjusted to 3 levels: low, medium, and high.

■Alarm mode

If the speed of sound is measured outside the set range, the abnormality will be notified with an LED and sound.

■Thickness measurement mode

It can also be used as a high-performance ultrasonic thickness gauge. It boasts an overwhelming measurement range of 0.63mm to 1,000mm (steel equivalent).
