■FeaturesPR-9 is an ultrasonic thickness gauge exclusively for cast iron and cast aluminum. Conventional ultrasonic thickness gauges sometimes mix up the noise peculiar to cast iron with the echoes from the bottom, resulting in the incorrect thickness being displayed. The PR-9 has been developed and tuned for cast iron and cast aluminum measurements, avoiding the noise typical of cast iron and detecting correct backside echoes.

Sound velocity adjustment supports 1-point/2-point calibration and direct input of sound velocity. Scan mode performs 100 high-speed scans per second (usually 10 times/sec) and then releases the transducer. and display the minimum value.

It has a lightweight body of approximately 300g and a large, easy-to-read display, allowing you to comfortably measure over long periods of time or in the dark. Furthermore, the IP65 dust-proof and drip-proof performance makes it suitable for measurements in harsh environments where dust and oil mist are generated.

■Measure accurate thicknessIn addition to direct sound velocity input, it is equipped with one-point and two-point calibration functions. Accurately measures the thickness of cast iron and cast aluminum.

■High-performance couplant “Echo Z+” that brings out the performance of PR-9 is included.The appropriate viscosity eliminates the air layer between the casting surface and the transducer, and the excellent ultrasonic transmission performance allows for reliable detection of bottom echoes.

■Scan mode that performs high-speed measurements 100 times per second (usually 10 times per second)High-speed measurement that does not miss a moment of thinning, and displays the minimum value after measurement.

■Backlight adjustable to 3 levelsEquipped with a backlight that allows measurements even in the dark, and can be adjusted to 3 levels: low, medium, and high.
