An innovative laser oscillator based on coherent beam combining (CBC) technology.
CBC is a technology that combines beams by controlling the phase of light. Typical fiber combiners combine light spatially, so the more beams that are combined, the lower the beam quality becomes. CBC technology makes it possible to increase laser output without degrading beam quality.
■Why do we need a green laser?
In processes such as laser welding and cutting, the laser beam is absorbed into the material and processed, so by using a wavelength with high absorption rate, efficient processing becomes possible. By using green lasers, it is now possible to process materials that were previously difficult to process with lasers.
