About This Product

■Summary

Fiber-coupled AO modulators (FCAOMs) provide a simple and robust system for fiber laser intensity modulation, providing direct control over timing, intensity, and laser waveform. G&H's Fiber-Q achieves high extinction ratio, low loss, and highly stable performance in PM and non-PM fibers, and is capable of modulation rates up to 80MHz at visible and near-infrared wavelengths. The Fiber-Q series' compact, sealed housing design is ideal for all OEM systems, including medical laser systems. Each Fiber-Q requires an RF driver that generates an RF signal to create acoustic waves within the AO crystal. The modulation of the beam passing through Fiber-Q depends on the frequency and strength of the RF signal.
