About This Product

■Summary

"Silicone tube for high voltage electric wire coating" is a high-performance silicone tube that can handle high voltage and large current. In recent years, high-voltage electric wires are often used in automobiles due to the promotion of EVs and HEVs, and insulating coating materials for these electric wires have become important. In order to solve this problem, Hotty Polymer Co., Ltd. has developed two products for high-voltage wire sheathing: a "high-withstand voltage type" and a "flame-retardant type." Typical silicone rubber has a dielectric breakdown strength of 25kV/mm, but this product's "high withstand voltage type" is approximately 40kV/mm, and the "flame retardant type" is approximately 37kV/mm, which is approximately 40-50% higher. It has dielectric breakdown strength. The flame retardant type has a flame retardancy equivalent to "V-1" under UL-94, the international standard for flame retardancy. In addition, since it is silicone rubber, it is flexible and has high dielectric breakdown strength, making it possible to maintain insulation performance even if the coating layer is made thin. Tubes can also be manufactured by extrusion or compression molding. Features

■Insulation

The dielectric breakdown strength is approximately 40-50% better than general silicone rubber.

■Flame retardant

The flame retardant type has performance equivalent to V-1 in the UL94 standard test.

■Flexibility

Due to its high insulation performance, it can be manufactured with thin walls and has excellent flexibility.

■Applications

As a covering material for high voltage cables in electric vehicles (EV, HEV), industrial equipment, railway vehicles, energy plants, etc., and as packing and covers for battery cases, etc.
