■Features - Battery powered, no power supply required ・Life span up to 10 years ・Battery replaceable - Comes with a battery level display that lets you know when to replace it at a glance ・Wide flow range - Adopts PTFE lining and Hastelloy C electrode as standard. ・Flanged type allows for reliable piping ・Equipped with a variety of outputs such as integrated pulses and alarm contacts - Conforms to ISO standards with excellent compatibility between surfaces - Converter integrated type (M5000-M) and converter separated type (M5000-S) are available. ■Advantages ・Almost unaffected by liquid temperature, pressure, density, and viscosity. ・If the conductivity is above a certain level (20μS/m, (5μS/m) or higher), the volumetric flow rate can be measured without being affected by the conductivity. Therefore, regardless of the type of fluid being measured, the actual flow rate can be calibrated using water (the average conductivity of rivers in Japan is 50 to 100 μS/cm). ・There are no obstacles in the measurement tube that create resistance, so there is no pressure loss. ・Volume flow rate can be measured even for solids and liquids containing bubbles. ・The output of the flowmeter is proportional to the flow rate. It is relatively accurate. ・``JIS B 7554'' specifies a wide range of detector diameters from 10 to 2600 mm. Measurements can be made using the same principle over a wide flow rate range. - Generally responsive. ・Can measure forward and reverse flow rates. ・There are no moving parts. ■Disadvantages - Gases and liquids with low conductivity cannot be measured. ・In the case of large diameter, it is relatively expensive and installation work is expensive. ・A straight pipe section is required to straighten the flow (specified in JIS B 7554).
