About This Product

It is convenient and widely used for micro-pressure measurement, micro-pressure measurement, and differential pressure flow rate indicator. It is also used to control filter clogging. The parts in contact with gas are made of resin and have excellent corrosion resistance. For the gauge tube, heat-resistant glass or PMMA can be selected.

■Advantages

・If the shape of the throttle part is created accurately, there is no need to perform calibration by flowing the actual fluid. Standards are determined by JIS etc. "JIS Z 8762" -Especially when using an orifice, the structure is simple and the price is low. ・There are no moving parts, making maintenance easy. ・Applicable fluids include various fluids such as liquid, gas, and steam.

■Disadvantages

・Since it is affected by the flow velocity distribution, a fairly long straight pipe length is required before and after the throttle. ・It is not suitable for use with liquids containing solids due to problems such as abrasion of the orifice edge. ・Pressure loss generally occurs. In particular, pressure loss is large at orifices. Venturi tubes have relatively low pressure loss, but are expensive. - If dirt or rust gets into the fluid, the pressure extraction part may get clogged and incorrect measurements may occur. ・Since the flow rate is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure, it is not possible to effectively widen the measurement range. This measurement range (rangeability) is relatively small and is often used at a ratio of about 1:4.
