About This Product

■TARS-B Series

Utilize MEMS technology to sense motion, position, and navigation from a single ruggedized device with over 6 degrees of freedom.

■Product overview

Integrating an inertial measurement unit (IMU) allows customers to know the vehicle's position relative to the slope in real time. The machine's ECU (Equipment Control Unit) processes this information and provides feedback to the operator about the machine's position relative to the incline. Such an indicator allows the operator to adjust the slope in real time while the loader is running. The Transportation Attitude Reference System (TARS-IMU) is a packaged sensor array designed to report vehicle angular velocity, acceleration, and attitude data for industrially demanding applications such as heavy-duty off-highway transportation. . TARS-IMU is compatible with vehicle power systems from 9V to 36V with two sensor models that accommodate different power levels. Communication is sent to the vehicle via an industry standard CAN J1939 connection. Honeywell 6-D Motion Variant 6DF (6 Degrees of Freedom) Inertial Measurement Unit Sensors are designed to provide motion, position, and navigation sensing from a single ruggedized device with 6 degrees of freedom. It uses MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) technology to sense translational motion in three vertical axes (surge, heave, sway) and rotational motion in three vertical axes (roll, pitch, yaw). This is achieved by Because motion and rotation along the three axes are independent of each other, such motion is said to have ``six degrees of freedom.''
