Resolver with multiple housing and rotary transformer configuration, 3in diameter 1X: speed 1X and 16X transformer (360°+ mechanical) redundancy

■Product overview

For manufacturers requiring accurate, reliable, repeatable and durable rotational and angular absolute position sensors in defense, aerospace, medical and industrial applications. Honeywell Hawk 2: Delivers 360° non-contact, angular position sensing, and enhanced accuracy (±7 arcmin) for precise motion control. The resolver converts the mechanical shaft position into an electrical signal representing the actual shaft angle. These are variable transformers and the stator has two phase windings that are mechanically moved by 90°. The output is two sinusoids, the phase of which is shifted by 90°. Resolvers are generally preferred over electronic sensors (e.g. optical encoders, potentiometers, magnetic encoders/sensors) because they do not require the use of electronic circuits and therefore do not suffer from performance variations in harsh environments. Resolvers are inherently radiation hardened to provide highly robust EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) performance.
