■Product overview

The FSA series is a piezoresistive force sensor. Provides ratiometric analog or digital output of force measurements over a specified full-scale pressure span and temperature range. The series is fully calibrated and temperature compensated for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects, and nonlinearities with an onboard Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). Direct mechanical coupling facilitates interfacing with sensors, tubed couplings, membranes or plungers for reproducible performance and a reliable mechanical interface to your application. This package has excellent corrosion resistance and also isolates external stresses. All products are designed and manufactured according to ISO 9001 standards.

The highly flexible design enables multiple standard configurations over a wide operating temperature range.

・Multiple force ranges allow users to select the force range that maximizes sensitivity and improves system resolution/performance ・Overforce enhances durability in applications that may have overforce ・Accuracy improvement includes all errors caused by force nonlinearity, force hysteresis, and non-repeatability. ・Total error band (total accuracy) enhances system performance -Digital output enhances performance through low conversion requirements and convenient direct interface to microprocessors ・Functional diagnosis that determines whether the sensor is functioning correctly by detecting whether there is any damage or short circuit in the electrical path within the sensor. ・Supply voltage provides design flexibility within the application
