Honeywell HM Sealed Miniature Basic Switches are designed for a variety of commercial and military aircraft, as well as equipment for deep space applications (altitude requirements). These miniature sealed switches are utilized in a variety of applications including military land vehicles, maritime environments, and other harsh industrial environments. These switches are now available as MIL-PRF-8805 compliant switches. Some HM switches are UL 508 certified for industrial or ground transportation applications. MICRO SWITCH HM hermetic seal switch designs incorporate glass-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealing with over 50 years of use in multiple applications.
Hermetic seal HM basic switches are ideal for demanding applications such as those involving a wide temperature range of -184°C to 260°C [-300°F to 500°F] where a five-seal symbol is required. Designed with a stainless steel housing and hermetic seal construction, HM switches are suitable for applications where dust, water, other particulate contaminants, and corrosive gases are present.
HM basic switches offer versatility with branched gold contacts for reliably controlling low energy loads (mA and mV) and silver contacts for switching power loads at 30Vdc or 115Vac, 400Hz. Electrical connections to the switch are accomplished by individual wire leads or 0 to 1 solder posts adding to the versatility of the HM switch.
