About This Product

Lyotherm3 was developed by Biopharma and Louis Rey, a professor specializing in freeze-drying, and is a single device that can perform differential thermal analysis (DTA) and electrical impedance measurement simultaneously. Parameters required for freeze drying such as glass transition temperature (Tg'), eutectic temperature (Teu) and melting temperature (Tm) are available.

■FeaturesElectrical impedance measurements, based on conventional "electrical resistance measurements" used to determine the softening or eutectic melting point of frozen products, provide information on the behavior of important frozen layers that cannot be discerned using traditional analytical techniques. You can. By simultaneously measuring DTA and impedance measurements, Lyotherm3 allows you to identify the maximum allowable temperature (critical temperature) and understand the annealing temperature (heat treatment temperature) and its necessity, while avoiding product damage. Even very dilute solutions that do not show transitions using standard thermal analysis methods can be analyzed using Lytherm3. Phase transitions can be very subtle, making them ideal for protein formulations.
