■Features

・Polyimide is a general term for polymers with imide bonds. ・It has the highest level of heat resistance and mechanical strength among resins, and has particularly high insulation properties and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it close to metal among resins, so it is used as an insulating material for electronic circuits and for flexible printing. It is often used as a base material for circuit boards. ・It also has excellent chemical resistance. ・In the medical field, it is used for the shafts of cardiac catheters because it can be formed into thin walls, and for the inner tubes of electrode catheters due to its insulation properties.
