About This Product

■Summary

This is a used super hardwood sleeper made in Australia (no preservatives, safe and secure) that is valuable and rare in its very existence. You can make your garden or store unique with its unique texture.

■Creosote-free

Many railroad ties are embalmed with petroleum creosote. This is distilled coal tar and has a strong insect repellent and antiseptic effect, but it has a strong odor and is not safe for humans. In Australia, the use of creosote in railroad ties is prohibited. On the other hand, it means that we use durable wood that will not rot even without the use of creosote. Therefore, Australian sleepers can be used safely in environments where they are frequently touched by the human body and indoors. *When imported, fumigation (fumigation) treatment is applied. Pest control is carried out under quarantine regulations for wood imports, and the wood is fumigated in a sealed container for 24 hours using a gas that does not affect the human body.

■High durability and load capacity

Not only does it look good, but it also has a durability class of 1 to 2 according to Australian Forestry Agency standards. This is a standard that can only be met by trees that can last 15 to 50 years (the lean part) even under harsh conditions. These sleepers were actually used on railroads, so they have a high load capacity and are stable, making them ideal for parking lots where vehicles come in and out.

■Highly durable eucalyptus type

Eucalyptus (the generic name for the genus Eucalyptus, which has hundreds of species) is a highly durable tree species. It is well known for being eaten by koalas, but it has also been used in buildings such as houses, shipbuilding, railroad ties, and bridges due to its termite-proofing properties. It is an ecological tree species that grows quickly and is used for desert greening.

■Intermediate (B class)

There are some noticeable cracks and the corners are rounded, but there is no problem with the quality.
