Variable speed motors are now used at the heart of every industrial field. A typical example is variable speed drive using an inverter. Hitachi Top Runner motors can be used as standard products in combination with Hitachi inverters. We meet the needs of various industries with high reliability.
In places where explosive gases and steam are generated, such as chemical factories and paint factories, it has not been possible to easily implement variable speed operation to promote automation and energy conservation. Hitachi's inverter-driven, explosion-proof motor solves these problems. Variable speed operation can be easily and economically achieved even in Class 1 and Class 2 dangerous locations.
■Features
・The explosion-proof motor is a reliable device that meets the standards of JIS C 0905 (Explosion-proof structure for electric power equipment). What's more, it has passed the explosion-proof test conducted by the Ministry of Labor's Industrial Safety Research Institute. The product will be delivered with a type certification mark.
・According to law, explosion-proof motors cannot be used unless they have passed the "explosion-proof test" in one-to-one combination with an inverter. Therefore, explosion-proof motors combined with inverters are required to display a combination nameplate.
- A series of flameproof explosion-proof motors that can be used in combination with Hitachi JX series inverters can be used in Class 1 and Class 2 hazardous locations.
