Using a hand-held electric motor, you can easily drill large diameter holes in metal plates, stainless steel plates, resin materials, etc. It is possible to drill holes in flat steel plates up to 4mm thick, stainless steel plates, and resin materials such as FRP and acrylic plates.If you use 278P, you can also drill holes in steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, etc. Excellent durability thanks to the use of carbide tips.
■Uses carbide tips for cutting blades
- Carbide tip with excellent sharpness and wear resistance allows for surprisingly fast drilling.
・Moreover, it has excellent heat resistance, so it can be used easily in a dry method.

Unlike a twist drill that cuts the entire hole surface, the Hole Saw 278 uses a cylindrical body to cut lines on a ring, allowing you to drill large-diameter holes with little force, and the finish is beautiful and almost perfectly circular.

The shape of the cutting edge has been carefully designed to prevent biting and swinging due to excessive cutting. It has a safe design that allows you to always work with a stable depth of cut regardless of the material.

*When drilling metal plates (up to 1.6mm thick), be sure to use rotation mode. (Impact mode may cause chipping of the cutting edge.)
