About This Product

■FeaturesPOM is a highly versatile engineering plastic with excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, and chemical resistance. It is used in a variety of industrial parts because it has excellent processability and is available at low cost. Continuous use temperature is 85℃~105℃, melting point is 175℃, glass transition point is -50℃. It is an easy-to-handle material that is strong and hard to break, and is less prone to cracking or chipping during processing or use. In addition, it is suitable for precision machining because it is free-cutting and does not easily generate burrs, and any burrs that do occur are easy to remove. After cutting, the cut surface becomes glossy. Furthermore, because it has low water absorption and high wear resistance, it is less prone to dimensional changes due to long-term use.

■Mechanical strengthExcellent tensile strength (67-69MPa), bending strength (88MPa), and bending modulus (2,580MPa).

■Heat resistanceIt has excellent heat resistance among plastic materials, with a continuous operating temperature of 85℃ to 105℃. If a higher temperature environment is expected, MC nylon and super engineering plastics are candidates.

■Chemical resistanceIt is resistant to most chemicals and organic solvents except strong acids.

■Precautions when using and processing POMIt has low weather resistance among engineering plastics, making it unsuitable for outdoor use. It is flammable and should be used away from sources of ignition. Additionally, there is no compatible adhesive, making it difficult to bond.

■Appearance・The top and bottom surfaces are smooth and feel good to the touch.
