■ Optical chopper principles and mechanisms

The optical chopper (optical chopper) is a device that modifies the continuous light by a rotating blade, and is used in combination with a lock -in amplifier. As a mechanism, a chopper blade that rotates on a constant speed is installed on the optical road of the beam that is continuously irradiated, and the reference signal is output when the blade blocks the optical road. The SR540 is an optical chopper that can be used widely from simple measurement to dual beams and interconnection experiments. The chopping frequency bands that can be controlled by the SR540 are three stages: 4Hz to 40Hz, 40Hz to 400Hz, and 400Hz to 3.7kHz. By replacing the chopper blade, it can support a wide range of frequency bands from up to 4Hz to 3.7kHz. In addition, the external voltage control can control the chopping frequency from the external device.
