■Type of pressure
Pressure sensors are classified into three types depending on how the reference pressure is taken: gauge pressure, differential pressure, and absolute pressure.
・Relative pressure/gauge pressure: Pressure based on atmospheric pressure. The pressure applied to the sensor can be measured regardless of atmospheric pressure fluctuations.
・Relative pressure/differential pressure: Pressure based on an arbitrary pressure. It has a shape with two pressure inlets and can measure the difference between two pressures.
・Absolute pressure: Pressure based on complete vacuum (absolute vacuum). Changes in atmospheric pressure can be measured.
