About This Product
A U-bolt is a U-shaped metal bolt with threads cut on both ends. U-bolts are commonly used to secure two pipes or bars of different diameters together. By attaching a screw to one end and a nut to the other end, a U-bolt can be used to secure two pipes or bars together.
U-bolts are used in automobiles, trailers, boats, construction, agricultural machinery, and various industrial applications. Because of their shape, U-bolts can distribute the load evenly, giving them a strong fixing force.
■Applications
U-bolts are mainly used to secure plumbing pipes, but they can also be used to secure boards or flat plates to pipes. At our company, we have installed polycarbonate flat plates on existing handrails of pipes to protect against water in the turbine room of a hydroelectric power plant.
As mentioned above, it has various uses, but in addition to fixing plumbing pipes, it can also be used to fix square pipe fence posts, etc. as long as it can fit inside the U bolt. Unichrome plating, hot-dip galvanizing, and stainless steel U-bolts are also available depending on the location and other conditions. To prevent the U-bolts from loosening, use a double nut hooking SW, etc.
