About This Product

MEPS uses a needle and syringe with a solid-phase cartridge to load the sample, aspirate and dispense wash solvent, aspirate elution solvent, and dispense final solution using the plunger stroke of the syringe. With MEPS, the amount of solid phase packed can be reduced from the conventional mL size to µL size, and the amount of sample and solvent used in the pretreatment process can be reduced.　 It is also effective in shortening pretreatment time because it forcibly suctions and discharges the solution using a plunger stroke. We have a wide variety of solid phases that can be used with MEPS, from normal phase and reversed phase distribution to ion exchange mode, depending on the sample. MEPS can perform its operations in three ways. One is to manually perform solution sampling and dispensing operations using a MEPS syringe, and the second is to use a GC device multifunctional autosampler (Shimadzu AOC-20i, CTC PAL, Gestel MPS2). The third is semi-automatic operation when combined with the digital syringe eVol. (Inserting the needle into the sample vial or cleaning solvent vial, or into the dispensing vial, can be done manually, and the volume setting and operation speed for sampling and dispensing operations can be digitally controlled using eVol.)
