About This Product
WhiteLock21A20 is a monitoring device that connects to a regular telephone line.
■General telephone lines that can be used
You can use the TA analog port for NTT specification analog 2-wire push or dial lines (20PPS), PBX (2-wire outside line), and ISDN lines. We cannot guarantee operation via routers such as modems or terminal adapters. ADSL line service will end in January 2023
■About use on extension lines
When using an extension, please check that all of the conditions below are met.
・When you pick up the handset, you can hear DT (dial tone) 400Hz continuous or PDT (extension dial tone) 400Hz 0.25 seconds ON and 0.25 seconds OFF.
・When the other party is busy, you can hear BT (busy tone) 400Hz 0.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF.
・When calling the other party, you can hear RBT (Ring tone (jiggly sound)) 400Hz 1 second ON and 2 seconds OFF.
・When the other party disconnects the call, you can hear BT (busy tone) 400Hz 0.5 seconds ON and 0.5 seconds OFF.
・Some PBXs may only play the busy tone four times after disconnecting the call. please note.
■Unusable telephone line
It cannot be used on business phone lines or home telephone lines. If you connect the WL21A20 to these lines and perform reporting operations, the WL21A20 will malfunction.
■How to check the line
You can connect an NTT telephone (available at home electronics retailers, home centers, etc.) to an extension line, and then connect the WL21A20 if the line allows calls to an outside line. If you cannot make outside calls, use the business phone line or home phone line.
■If there is no telephone line nearby
Using the remote control 8N (signal transmission device), it is possible to wirelessly transmit alarm contact signals to a remote telephone line.
