About This Product

Graphite is represented by the element symbol C and is an allotrope of diamond and carbon. The crystal structure of graphite is a hexagonal ring with a distance of 1.421 Å between carbon atoms. The hexagonal rings are stacked at even intervals of 3.364 Å, and the carbon atoms in them are located between the regular hexagons in the layer above, forming a continuous layer of hexagonal rings. It is said that the horizontal direction of this layer shows strong bonding force due to covalent bonds, but the vertical axis direction shows weak electronic bonds, which easily causes shearing between the layers, resulting in low friction. It is also a very chemically stable substance, non-toxic, unaffected by most organic solvents and chemicals, and has excellent heat resistance and electrical conductivity. It can be used for lubrication that requires heat resistance and conductivity, and has excellent wear resistance, so it can be used under all sliding conditions.
