About This Product

PSI's Extrusion Gear Pumps (EGPs) provide superior metering control for polymer and hot melt extrusion and container applications. The pump efficiency is typically over 99.5%, and the EGP gear pump delivers accurate volume and performs the die pressurization function. The die pressure variation due to the extruder is damped from 20:1 to 50:1, and the discharge pressure is controlled to a nominal +/-0.25%. The result is improved product consistency and quality, resulting in higher yields, higher profitability, and lower scrap rates.

High-precision, counter-rotating gears provide precise, linear dispensing with each rotation, ensuring optimal metering efficiency over the entire speed range. The gear pump not only increases the extruder output per screw revolution by more than 10%, but also reduces shear stress, reduces extruder energy consumption, lowers the average processing temperature by reducing head pressure, and increases the It is possible to provide added value such as reduced wear on extruder screws and barrels.

PSI extrusion gear pumps can process highly filled polymers, fractionated melts, recycled plastics, and low viscosity materials and can operate at pressures up to 35 MPa (5,000 psi) and 25 MPa (4,000 psi) differential pressures. .

It is dimensionally compatible with the former Dynisco Extrusion gear pumps MSDP series and MHDP series, so it is possible to replace old MSDP gear pumps with new ones without modifying the production line.
