About This Product

■Summary

Optical fiber displacement sensors (optical fiber displacement meters) are not affected by EMI/RFI and enable safe and highly accurate measurements even in harmful environments and high temperatures. The FOD design is based on a thin film Fizeau interferometer (TFFI) glued onto a moving shaft. Since the cavity length of TFFI changes along the shaft axis direction, it can be positioned as a Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) distributed in that space. The fiber optic cable tip is attached close to the surface of the TFFI. This allows FOD to obtain the cavity length at all points of TFFI.
