About This Product

■Summary

High-response fiber optic temperature sensors (fiber optic thermometers) are extremely small and highly accurate sensors. Also, it is completely unaffected by EMI/RFI. The sensing part is made of Si:H (silicon) and has a small size of 150 x 150 μm, making it suitable for research and development of EED (Electronic Explosive Device). The response speed is less than 1ms and does not interfere with the EED circuit. The sensor provides accurate and reliable bridge wire temperature measurements even when exposed to EMI. Since there is a proportional relationship between the current flowing through the bridge wire and the temperature, it is possible to study the ignition conditions caused by interference such as EMI. The measurement reads the refractive index change of Si:H caused by temperature change. FOT-HERO forms a system with VELOCE100 (signal conditioner). The resolution when acquired at 1,000Hz is 0.03°C, and the sensitivity due to fiber movement is only 0.1°C (peak to peak). Measurement with VELOCE100, which is based on cutting-edge interferometric technology, enables extremely high-resolution temperature measurements.
