About This Product

Si8000m is simulation software that enables anyone to perform high-precision impedance control of printed circuit board transmission lines, where signal frequencies are required to increase every year as data volumes increase. Today's printed circuit boards are different from the days when all that was required was for mutual devices to be electrically connected, and now the printed circuit boards themselves are required to have sophisticated designs in order to function as system components. The Si9000e is a version of the Si8000m with the addition of a function that can simulate insertion loss values ​​in the GHz band.

■Easy operation realized

Complex transmission line loss characteristics that change with frequency can be separated into three components and confirmed using easy-to-understand graphs. Calculation results can be easily exported to spreadsheet software (such as Excel) or a database for detailed analysis.

■Boundary element method field solver engine

The proven and reliable BEM (boundary element method) is used to accommodate all transmission line parameters. More than 130 types of transmission line structure models, mainly frequently used transmission line models, help designers solve problems.

■High frequency characteristic simulation

You can extract the RLGC matrix, S-parameters of single-ended (2 ports) and differential (mixed mode, 4 ports) transmission lines, and quickly graph transmission line structure information. Frequency changes in impedance, losses (conductor loss, dielectric loss, and loss due to surface graining), inductance, capacitance, resistance, conductance, and skin thickness can also be graphed in the frequency domain. ■Fast and flexible operation functions

Elements such as transmission line models and extended base material data can be used as library data during simulation, allowing you to verify the effect of the frequency change characteristics of the board material on the board's signal transmission performance. By initializing parameters that change depending on the frequency band (permittivity and loss tangent) as library data and assigning them to each frequency band, highly accurate loss simulation is possible.
