About This Product

AwView is a water activity measuring instrument that complies with the Food Sanitation Law. The sensor section is equipped with an electrical resistance sensor. Measurements with AwView are performed from a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet. You can easily measure the water activity (Aw) value, which is closely related to the growth of microorganisms in food, at a more reasonable price than conventional water activity measuring devices. It can also be introduced to support HACCP in food hygiene management.

■Summary

AwView uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to wirelessly connect to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. The main body is small and lightweight, so it is easy to carry and can be used for measurements anytime, anywhere. To measure, put an appropriate amount of sample into the sample cup, set it on AwView, and start measurement from the app. After 10 minutes, you can check the measurement results on the app. The app also allows you to create reports from measurement data. It is created in PDF format and can be used as highly reliable data that cannot be tampered with. Reports can also be transferred to a computer, etc. by email.

■Features

・Uses an electrical resistance sensor that complies with the Food Sanitation Act There are methods to measure water activity values, such as the equilibrium weight method and the dew point method, but AwView measures with an electrical resistance sensor that complies with the Food Sanitation Act. Compared to other measurement methods, measurements using electrical resistance sensors are less susceptible to the effects of volatile substances such as alcohol and organic acids. ・The app fully supports the measurement method of the Food Sanitation Act. The measurement flow in the app complies with the provisions of the Food Sanitation Act, so by measuring with AwView, you can fully comply with the measurement methods of the Food Sanitation Act. After measurement, you can create a report in PDF format on the app and use it as highly reliable data. ・Calibration using standard solution is possible AwView can be calibrated using a standard solution that matches the water activity range to be measured. After calibration, you can make one-point adjustments on the app. No complicated operations are required, and the user can maintain measurement accuracy.

■Use example

AwView can be used to check the shelf life of a variety of foods, including jams, prosciutto, sausages, seasonings, retort foods, jellies, beans, sweets, and bread.
