About This Product

NovaFlow & Solid CV is a flow and solidification simulation package. The preprocessor, main processor, and postprocessor are all in one package, and you can import models, create meshes, analyze, and display results with just one package. In addition, the newly developed CV (control volume) technology is completely different from the concept of conventional simulation software. Its expressive power allows it to express models drawn in 3D CAD as they are. By importing data from ATAS*, more accurate material correction for cast iron is also possible. This is a unique feature in the world. It is particularly good at analyzing thin-walled products, and its calculation speed is unmatched by other companies' products. *ATAS is an abbreviation for Adaptive Thermal Analysis System.

■Mold filling and solidification simulation package based on advanced flow analysis and heat transfer theory

NovaFlow & Solid CV uses Controlled Volume Meshing technology (CVM). With this technique, the surface of the 3D model controls the shape of the mesh elements on the interface of the casting. This creates cubic elements inside the casting and boundary cells on the boundaries of the casting.

■Advantages of using CVM technology

CVM technology has the following advantages over the finite element method (FDM): - For most castings, simulation time is reduced by approximately 10% (compared to the finite difference method) with the same or better accuracy. ・High accuracy of simulation due to perfect drawing of 3D model. All cross-section sizes are accurate (compared to the difference method). - CVM requires fewer cells to define the shape of the casting, ensuring faster simulation and smaller result files (compared to finite difference methods). ・Mesh creation is completely automatic and takes only a few seconds (compared to the finite element method). ・CVM enables more advanced calculations such as gas flow, contact load (stress), full mold method (compared to finite difference method)
