About This Product

There is no need to bend the troublesome tongued washer into a lock nut. A hexagonal single type that can maintain the bearing's initial rigidity and initial preload for a long period of time. SLB is a hexagonal pre-pelling torque type strong detent lock nut that will not damage the threads of the bolt when tightening and will not reduce the detent function even when reused. This is an innovative single lock nut.

■Strong detent function maintains initial rigidity and initial preload to prevent bearing damage.

By deforming the top of the nut with high precision pressure and deforming the threads in both the pressurized and non-pressure parts, friction is generated around the entire circumference of the bolt threads, creating a strong detent effect. This is an epoch-making prevailing torque type lock nut. Since an appropriate initial preload can be maintained for a long period of time, various types of bearing damage (fretting, galling, chipping, cracking, impressions, wear, seizure, etc.) that occur due to a decrease in rigidity can be prevented.

■Thread strength is twice that of general bearing lock nuts

・Thread shear strength test using a universal testing machine: In the case of size M20, we performed a tensile test on the nut using a universal testing machine and found that the thread strength of a general lock nut is 90kN, but the material of SLB is SCM435. Also, the thread strength was 200kN. ・Load repeated durability test: A 1 million times repeated load test was carried out using a fatigue testing machine. The load was 15% (30kN) of the thread shear strength (approximately 200kN), and no problems were found.

■Hexagonal type for easy tightening work

This eliminates the hassle of bending the troublesome tongued washer to match the groove of the lock nut, and allows the nut to be positioned at any desired position. Also, since it has a hexagonal shape, there is no need for a hook spanner, and it can be easily tightened using a commercially available spanner. It was difficult to tighten properly with a hook spanner, but if it has a hexagonal shape, it can be tightened with a regular spanner.
