Low pulsation chip pump that incorporates peristaltic pump functionality into a PDMS chip
■Features
・The peristaltic pump function is incorporated into the PDMS chip, and the roller is rotated while compressing the Ω-shaped channel to directly pump the liquid inside the chip. The PDMS chip is replaceable and can be sterilized.
- The pulsation, which was a drawback of conventional peristaltic chip pumps, has been significantly reduced to a level that can be used in flow cytometers and cell sorters. Please refer to the red line in the comparison graph below.
・The product in the photo is a concept model of a disposable flow cytometer, and is designed to incorporate three pumps for sending sample flow and sheath flow, as well as a flow cell, into a single chip, allowing for easy replacement for each fluid used. The chip flow path shape can be customized.
