About This Product
DCPW-240 is a new generation power amplifier that incorporates all of the know-how and technology that Audio Design has accumulated to date. We have refined not only the electrical characteristics but also the sound quality. By carefully considering and refining the elements related to sound quality that cannot be captured by simple electrical characteristics alone, the sound quality has reached a realm never before heard.
If I had to describe the sound in one word, it would be ``an amazingly realistic sound.'' The CDs I've been listening to now sound completely different. The bass doesn't just sound good, it feels like it depicts the way the strings are played and the movements of the fingers pressing down on the neck. The drums can be heard down to the ultra-low range that makes you feel like you're crawling on the ground, and it's as real as anything you've ever heard.
Not only the vocals are vivid, but you can also feel the movement and size of the open mouth. It went beyond just a "good sound" and became an amazing sound, a sound that exceeded my imagination.
■DCPW-240 Attention to detail in design
・We have utilized the feedback we have received from customers regarding the previous model, as well as our experience with changes in sound quality in various combinations and environments, in our design.
- Even if the electrical characteristics of a power amplifier seem to have been perfected, if you examine it in detail, you will still find things that need improvement. By essentially improving that part, we have improved various performances (this is not an easy way of thinking that the sound has improved simply by using audio parts or expensive parts). For example, since the ground current of a power amplifier is large during rectification, the reference ground potential will inevitably be contaminated by ripple components during rectification. In this regard, this amplifier has a circuit that does not transmit any of these components.
・Wiring is very important in power amplifiers. Through our own research, we have discovered the only noiseless connection, with an outstanding residual noise level of 7uV (A). In addition, the low distortion rate of 0.0007% at 200W output is proof of technological strength.
- The power amplifier has a two-story structure with a transformer and electrolytic capacitor at the bottom and a signal circuit at the top. This is an expression of our commitment to uncompromising sound quality.
