■Summary
The GaiaSorter system is a hyperspectral sorting device that performs fully automated computer-controlled sample sorting using a homogeneous light source, spectroscopic camera, and belt conveyor.
A spectroscopic camera captures the reflected light from the sample illuminated by the light source to obtain a one-dimensional image and spectral information. The sample moves on a conveyor belt and is scanned, allowing continuous real-time spectral images to be obtained.
All data is recorded by computer software into a 3D data cube containing image and spectral information. By analyzing this data, we can obtain the information necessary for sorting, such as the moisture content, acidity, and sugar content of fruits and vegetables, making it possible to automatically sort objects.
■Features
・Hyperspectral imaging performs food sorting process fully automatically with high wavelength resolution.
・Quality assurance of fruits and vegetables: moisture, sugar acidity, scars, bruises, metamorphosis, residual bone
・Hypersort: Color, shape, and size of fruits and vegetables
・Qualitative analysis of pesticide residues
・Batch processing for foreign object detection
・Garbage separation
・Non-contamination/non-destructive testing
