About This Product

Minelco is a flocculation aid made from natural minerals that is used to treat water contaminated with heavy metals, oil, PCBs, and dioxins. Heavy metals are processed using alkaline components and ion adsorption reactions.

■Less environmental impact due to the use of natural mineralsThis material uses natural mineral resources such as natural zeolite and has a low environmental impact.

■ Forms good flocs and enables stable quality controlWhen used in combination with existing inorganic flocculants, it forms good flocs and enables stable quality control.

■Adsorbs harmful substances and purifies contaminated water into clear treated water.Collects heavy metals through the ion adsorption reaction of natural minerals.

■How to use the flocculation aid MinelcoWhen using, mix Minelco and water so that the solid-liquid ratio is 1:20 and stir. After mixing, stir constantly to prevent precipitation. Use a tube pump, as using a regular diaphragm pump may clog the Minelco.

■ Coagulation aid Minelco mechanism・Adsorption reaction of harmful substances. When Minelco is added to contaminated water containing harmful substances and stirred, the zeolite and alkaline components contained in Minelco adsorb the harmful substances.
・Agglutination reaction. When a flocculant is added and stirred, the Minelco components that have adsorbed harmful substances will coagulate and become more likely to precipitate.
・Precipitation separation. The coagulated and precipitated toxic substances are dehydrated and disposed of as sludge. The supernatant water is discharged as treated water.

■Coagulation aid Minelco processing flow example・Pour the contaminated water into the flocculation reaction tank (3-tank notch tank).
・Mix Minelco and water so that the solid-liquid ratio is 1:10 and stir. Add Minelco to the first flocculation reaction tank and stir.
・Add PAC to the second flocculation reaction tank and stir.
・Polymer flocculant is added and mixed in the piping that transfers from the flocculation reaction tank to the precipitation separation tank.
・Sedimentation is separated in the sedimentation tank, and the supernatant water is discharged as treated water. Sediment is treated as sludge.
