About This Product
The FX20 has the widest printing area of any printer offered by Markforged. UTLTEM™9085, a super engineering plastic, can also be used, making it possible to create large parts with high strength and precision. The printing method uses a unique process similar to previous Markforged 3D printers, and is capable of laminating long fibers.
■Large model
The FX20 has the widest printing area of any printer offered by Markforged. It is now possible to create large-scale structures of 525mm x 400mm x 400mm, allowing it to be used in a wider range of applications.
■Applying long fiber carbon fiber to 3D printers
Apply the properties of carbon fiber, which is light and strong, using a 3D printer. It has high tensile strength and bending strength similar to aluminum, and is lighter than aluminum. It is expected that the product will be lighter and stronger.
■Compatible with super engineering plastics
ULTEM™ 9085 filament is a super engineering plastic with excellent flame retardancy, smoke resistance, and chemical resistance. For ULTEM™ 9085, which is optimized for aerospace and field applications, Markforged enables the stacking of long fibers, opening up new areas of application.
■Building speed
Thanks to improvements in each part, it is now possible to print approximately 4 times faster than the previous Desktop Series. Even large-sized objects can be created quickly.
■3D printer as a jig production machine
By using carbon fiber, the created objects can achieve high strength and rigidity. It can also be used in parts where strength and precision are required, such as jigs and tools used in production equipment. Compared to machining MC nylon or aluminum, lead time and costs can be significantly reduced.
