■Specially designed flow distributor

OPUS® flow distributors are designed to maintain uniform flow distribution. The design utilizes industry-proven techniques such as radial flow fields and anti-jet funnels. For the OPUS® development column, we modeled dispersion as a function of column performance and identified important flow distributor parameters. Computational fluid dynamics modeling and application case studies were performed in the OPUS® Application Lab to qualify the final design.

■Robust, GMP-compliant structure

Constructed from medical grade polypropylene homopolymer, all product contact surfaces of OPUS® columns are Class VI rated to EMA410/01 (or animal-free).

■Easy to clean and disinfect

OPUS® columns are compatible with cleaning and sterilization protocols used in common downstream processing campaigns such as monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and vaccines. The OPUS®20 column, which uses a colorimetric measurement of phosphate reduction, is packed with 6FF to ensure that residual phosphoric acid can be washed out with 2CV. ・OPUS® columns do not have large dead spaces ・OPUS® is designed for easy cleaning.
