About This Product

This device measures the photoelastic constant of glass. The photoelastic constant is an essential physical constant in glass stress measurement using polarization and birefringence. A crystal wedge is used to capture stress as the inclination of the stripes, and the photoelastic constant is calculated from the inclination angle and load.
