About This Product
The SCALP series glass cross-sectional stress meter is a device developed to measure cross-sectional stress based on the theory of photoelasticity of scattered light. It passes light along the inside of the glass and uses photoelastic technology to measure cross-sectional stress and its distribution. This machine is managed by a computer, reduces errors caused by the measurer, and exhibits excellent functions for managing measurement data. (Does not apply to chemically strengthened glass as it cannot be detected at 200um near the surface)

・Can be measured non-destructively without cutting the glass
・Small and easy to carry, can be used anywhere
・Safe immersion liquid using alcohol
・Can measure thin colored glass and glass with large curvature
・Reliable stress management is possible when used in conjunction with a surface stress meter.
・As a sample example, 04 is glass for building materials (thickness 3-19mm)
