About This Product

Tempered glass surface stress measuring device. This product propagates light along the glass surface and uses photoelastic technology to measure surface stress and its depth. In particular, this product is the only surface stress measuring device for measuring chemically strengthened glass. In addition, there is little error caused by the measurer, and it provides excellent functionality for product development and management. The prism shape has been changed, making it less susceptible to contamination caused by immersion liquid. The dimming method has been changed from an optical filter type to an electric type.

■Visible (596nm)

・Standard type. The wavelength is close to the D-line, making it easy to obtain information on the refractive index and photoelastic constant of the glass material. ・Measurement example: Chemically strengthened glass (one-time strengthening of KNO3)

■IR (790nm)

・The number of stripes detected is small. Effective when too many stripes are detected and it is difficult to read them accurately. ・Measurement example: Chemically strengthened glass (double tempered KNO3)

■UV (365nm)

・The number of stripes increases by about 1.5 times compared to visible light. Effective when the number of stripes is too small to measure well. ・Measurement target: Chemically strengthened glass (double strengthening of NaNO3 + KNO3) (surface layer only)
