About This Product

Suitable for performance testing of small batteries. The iso-BTC (Battery Testing Calorimeter) is an isothermal calorimeter designed for characterizing the thermal behavior and electrical performance of battery cells under normal and long-term service conditions. It supports a variety of adapters that enable analysis of diverse cell geometries. iso-BTC can fully integrate the charge and discharge unit, allowing repeated automatic cycling of battery cells under different operating conditions while simultaneously recording both the battery's electrical performance and the heat generated. Additionally, accelerated aging tests can be performed to investigate the effects of battery aging on cell performance. Battery chemistry, electrode composition, and battery cell type can also be investigated in cell development using iso-BTC. Thermal mapping (multi-point temperature measurement) allows users to identify areas of the battery that generate more thermal energy which are highlighted. In addition to characterizing the thermal behavior of battery cells at different temperatures and (discharge) charge rates, this information can be used to develop effective and targeted thermal management strategies within battery modules and packs. .
