About This Product

It is possible to perform safety tests on a variety of batteries, from small to large. The BTC-500 (Battery Testing Calorimeter) is a floor-standing mobile adiabatic calorimeter for safely testing thermal, electrical, and mechanical stress on large battery cells and small modules. The evaluation of these tests facilitates the evaluation of the safety performance of battery cells, allows defining the safe operating limits of batteries, and facilitates the research and development of thermal runaway and heat propagation mechanisms. Options include video of battery bursting, nail penetration testing, sample temperature mapping, and gas emission sampling. This is a large device that tests EV/HEV and even aircraft batteries. It is equipped with a container to contain debris and smoke in the event of sample rupture, an automatic safety valve, and an automatic shut-off emergency cooling safety mechanism.
