■Piezoelectric polymer membrane

Piezoelectric polymer membrane P (VDF-TrFE) is obtained by polarizing a membrane prepared from a polymer dissolution or solution.

■Features

・Acoustic impedance is low by 4.51×106 (N・s/m3) and can be used as an underwater sensor without an acoustic matching layer. - Due to its flexibility, it can be processed into spherical shapes, making it easy to create concave sensors.

■Application as underwater sensor

・Manufacturable frequency: 10MHz or more, 100MHz or less ・No need for acoustic matching layer ・Short pulse reverberation time ・No converging lens is required, so there is no lens aberration and no unnecessary echoes.
