■Summary
R2262 is a CMOS IC that has a regular real-time clock function plus a backup switching circuit and voltage detector. Connection with the host is made using three signal lines (CE, SCLK, SIO).
As an interrupt generation function, you can select 6 types of interrupt signals from 1 month to 0.5 seconds. Furthermore, it has two built-in alarm functions that generate interrupts at set times.
It also has a battery power supply voltage monitoring function and a 32.768kHz clock output (CMOS output) function for the subclock of an external microcontroller. Furthermore, it has a built-in clock error correction circuit that uses signals from the host to correct errors in the crystal oscillation frequency and adjust the clock with high precision.
Since the oscillation circuit is driven at a constant voltage, there is little voltage fluctuation in the oscillation frequency and low current consumption (Typ. 0.3µA at 3V) is achieved. The backup switching circuit is a function that automatically switches between the main power source and the secondary battery backup battery power source.
Considering the maximum charging voltage of secondary batteries, it has a built-in regulator for constant voltage charging. You can also stop charging and discharging the secondary battery by setting the register. The package is TSSOP10G and QFN0202-18.
