About This Product

■Summary

RV5C387A is a CMOS real-time clock IC that sends time and calendar data to the host through serial transfer. Connection with the CPU is made using two signal lines (SCL, SDA). As the interrupt generation function, you can select 6 types of interrupt signals from 1 month to 0.5 seconds. Furthermore, it has two built-in alarm functions that generate interrupts at set times. Since the oscillation circuit is driven at a constant voltage, there is little voltage fluctuation in the oscillation frequency and low current consumption (TYP. 0.35 µA at 3V) is achieved. It also has an oscillation stop detection function that can be applied to determine data validity at power-on, etc., a power supply voltage monitoring function that allows you to select the threshold voltage from two voltages, and a 32 kHz clock output function for the subclock of an external microcontroller. I am. Furthermore, it has a built-in clock error correction circuit that uses signals from the host to correct errors in the crystal oscillation frequency and adjust the clock with high precision. The 32kHz clock output of RV5C387A is an Nch open drain output, and the clock can be stopped by setting a register. The package is a small 10-pin SSOP-G.
