About This Product

■Waterproof contact acoustic sensor that detects failure signs in industrial equipment

Rotating equipment used in factory production equipment has the risk of sudden production line stoppages due to wear and tear on the bearings, so quantitative management is being carried out to replace parts based on periodic maintenance and operating hours. I did. Preventive maintenance involves performing maintenance and parts replacement even when the product is in a usable condition, which wastes worker resources and parts replacement costs. Nowadays, with the advancement of IoT in factories, transitioning to status management that monitors the status of production equipment in real time using sensors will help reduce maintenance costs and avoid downtime. Against this background, Nisshinbo Micro Devices applied MEMS sensor technology to develop an acoustic sensor that can detect everything from audible sounds to ultrasonic waves. By monitoring the ultrasonic range, to which conventional vibration sensors have no sensitivity, it is possible to detect signs of failure earlier.
