About This Product

The developed WS2 wax block is a solid lubricant composite material molded article that contains more than 50% (by weight) solid lubricant (WS2) and has excellent chemical stability and environmental safety. This block supplies WS2 to the sliding surface and forms a solid lubricating film (dry film) of WS2 (WS2 transfer mechanism). The formed WS2 film can be used in high-temperature atmospheres up to about 400°C. It replaces the large amounts of oil and grease currently used for lubrication in extreme environments such as high temperatures and high surface pressures. Actual use has already begun for the lubrication of various large shaft bearings.

■Features

・The WS2 composite material (block) with high WS2 content (approximately 50%, weight ratio) that supplies the dry film is an extremely unique product that has not been commercialized until now. ・This block has a binder design that allows it to be used stably for long periods of time in high-temperature environments up to 100℃. ・This block takes into consideration an appropriate wear rate so that WS2 can be supplied smoothly, and also has maximum material properties (compressive strength ≧100kgf/cm2, adhesive strength ≧50kgf/cm2, deformation coefficient, strain amount, workability etc.) have been achieved. ・It is also possible to accommodate various dimensions and shapes (machining) that will be required in the future. (No cracking or chipping occurs during processing.) ・It can solve or reduce the lubrication problem (environmental pollution countermeasures, energy saving, maintenance cost reduction, etc.) that previously required installing oil supply devices and cooling devices to consume large amounts of oil and grease. - Through cooperation with the design department, we can propose innovative equipment (devices) equipped with new lubrication mechanisms.
