About This Product

TW9920 is a multi-standard video decoder/encoder designed for multimedia applications. Low power and high quality resolution is achieved with mixed-signal 2.5V CMOS technology. The video encoder can convert digital YCbCr input to analog CVBS or S-video output. Five built-in DACs support S-video output and analog YCbCr output simultaneously, supporting a variety of applications. Furthermore, it also supports NTSC (60Hz) and PAL (50Hz) output. A stable crystal 27MHz clock is used for all subcarrier generation. ITU-R656 compatible external digital input is also possible. The video decoder converts analog CVBS or S-video signals to digital YcbCr for output. The TW9920 has an analog front end with selectable input source, various gain amplifiers, analog to digital converter, Y/C separation circuit, multi-standard color decoder (PAL BGHI, PAL M, NTSC4.43, SECAM), It consists of a synchronous circuit. For Y/C separation, a 4H comb filter is used that is highly compatible with attenuated intermediate colors and intermediate brightness. Advanced synchronization processing circuit can display stable images even with weak or non-standard signals. The video scaler allows you to arbitrarily scale down the video output. The decoder output is formatted into an ITU-R compatible output. Additionally, it has various control circuits for brightness, contrast, saturation, and dynamic aperture correction to provide the highest quality video.
