About This Product

Death matting agent exclusively for die casting. Due to the action of the gas suppressant, the generation of fluorine gas and nitric acid gas is reduced, and the life of the liquid can be extended. It has been changed from a medical poisonous substance to a medicinal deleterious substance. Die-cast smut removal is quick and easy.

■Features

・Excellent effect on aluminum die-cast death mats, including ADC12. ・During alumite treatment, stains that occur are difficult to form, resulting in a uniform finish. It also improves the gloss of black dyeing. ・Since it does not contain hydrofluoric acid, which is a poisonous substance, the working environment is improved. (Contains fluoride) Non-medical toxic substances → Non-medical deleterious substances ・It is resistant to water and has a long lifespan. Dangerous hydrofluoric acid is not used when preparing a bath. - Due to the action of the gas suppressant, the generation of nitric acid gas and fluorine gas is reduced, resulting in a better working environment.

■Properties

It is a pale yellow liquid. It has a nitric acid smell. This is a smut remover for aluminum die casting that is based on nitric acid and contains fluoride and several types of additives.

■Processing process

Please use it for desmatting treatment after degreasing, caustic soda, and chemical polishing. For materials with low Si content, SmutClean is suitable. Repeated processing with Pica 1 and Cast Clean will result in an even more beautiful finish. The processing time is approximately 20 to 40 seconds, but please adjust it depending on the desmut condition.

■Built bath and equipment

・Please prepare a bath as is without diluting it. For the treatment tank, use PVC (rigid polyvinyl chloride) with an iron frame and PTFE. ・Use at room temperature. In winter, heating (20℃) increases the desmat effect. There is some heat of reaction. Usually no cooling equipment is required. Thermometers and temperature sensors should be coated with PTFE. ・SUS and glass cannot be used. Please install local exhaust ventilation. Nitric acid gas and fluorine gas are emitted. ・After neutralizing wastewater, treat nitric acid and fluorine with slaked lime, etc.

■Management method

・The processing capacity is approximately 150dm2/L. When the smut removal effect decreases, please renew the liquid. ・Although the allowed amount of water allowed is 20%, please avoid bringing in water as much as possible.
