■Terminal block with cutting function for measuring inside the control panel
The testing and measurement of electrical switchgear and disconnection circuits in electrical installations is subject to the normative requirements DIN or DIN VDE. Test disconnect terminal blocks and neutral disconnect terminal blocks (N disconnect terminals) are used for this purpose to safely disconnect the circuit on the terminal without cutting the connected conductors.
Different shapes and versions of the terminals (color, connection method, cross-section) allow you to connect and disconnect circuits to 10x3 electrical busbars and N busbars. This is the case, for example, when performing insulation resistance measurements as required by VDE in public facilities. Opening and closing of the cutting lever, slider or N-slider can be done easily and safely with a screwdriver.
■Modular test disconnect terminal block
In some applications, it makes sense to add a test point or disconnect element to a feedthrough terminal for testing or safety purposes. Test disconnect terminals allow you to measure current circuits without voltage. During disconnection, air path and creep path dimensions are not evaluated but must be checked for strength at the specified rated inrush voltage.
